There was fire last night, and I got to spin music...
for nearly two hours. (Then I spun some fire.)
I had an amazing time! I got some people dancing, and I heard some shoutouts.
Playing out: still the best experience ever. I love watching others enjoy my music so much.
"Oh, are you going to play real music?..."
One of my non-DJ loves is fire spinning. Well, it turns out that people like fire dancing to live mixing...
So tonight, we had a spinurn, which is like a fire jam session that anyone can come to watch (or burn!).
I decided to spin music instead of fire tonight, and got to play for an hour or so. People seemed to really enjoy it - I had some feet tapping, some heads nodding. And of course the fire dancers. They were happy with it, for sure :)
When I was setting up, one of my fellow spinners smiled and asked, "Oh, are you going to play real music for us?" Love. :)
Playing out is amazing. I really enjoyed reading the crowd, feeling the night out.
I can't wait to do it again!
