Real Music

"Oh, are you going to play real music?..."

One of my non-DJ loves is fire spinning. Well, it turns out that people like fire dancing to live mixing...

So tonight, we had a spinurn, which is like a fire jam session that anyone can come to watch (or burn!).

I decided to spin music instead of fire tonight, and got to play for an hour or so. People seemed to really enjoy it - I had some feet tapping, some heads nodding. And of course the fire dancers. They were happy with it, for sure :)

When I was setting up, one of my fellow spinners smiled and asked, "Oh, are you going to play real music for us?" Love. :)

Playing out is amazing. I really enjoyed reading the crowd, feeling the night out.

I can't wait to do it again!

Untitled Document 1

I was recording a session of playing my living room, and it turned out really well. So I decided to post it. :)

I was trying to come up with a clever name, and I kept coming back to "Untitled Document". So that is what I'm going to call a "series" of mixes where I didn't really expect to end up with something releasable, but was pleasantly surprised.

I'm a sucker for nerd jokes. Can you tell?
